Graffiti Tools

I created this set of variable edition prints to document the tools graffiti artists use to create street art. This is a set of 5 prints that have been completed in two different colourways.

This project came about from an interest in how the public perceive different styles of graffiti art, as aesthetic image or political statement. While researching this topic, I looked into the different styles of this sub-culture, and the equipment used.

The product created was a limited set of 10 prints, mono printing techniques were used for the initial colour block layer, creating a dimensional aspect. The defining features of the subject were then created using black drawing ink in a loose, whimsical style giving this project a happy, fun overtone.
